She finds young kids picking on something and finds out it's a young demon and saves him and turns out it's inutaisho as a pup and journeys to the west to bring him back home. somewhere along the line she saves other halfbreeds and keep them in a safe place. she even keeps her face hidden when she sees inuyasha again with shiori and helps them out. sesshomaru even challenges kagome to rights to mate but loses and then she challenges him and loses, inutaisho appears and laughs making fun of her by not watching her back and she smacks him on his head.

She saves Inutaisho as a pup after his mother is dead and seperated from her father was bullied by humans, she saves him and takes him back to the west, sings to him when he couldn't sleep and helps and even leaves and helps deliver a lady's baby who was raped from a demon so she keeps the boys and raises him as her own, and a strand of hair comes to her and she grabs it and teleports back to palace, she finds that taisho's dad is dying and saves him and learns that he wanted a mate and shows her his candidate who doesn't like kagome and even kills her son right in front of her. a lady demon cries at the funeral and finds out its inukimi and she introduces them together and gives her blessing to them, she tells him that it's time for to rest and goes into a tower and tells them she must sleep, a barrier will come up after they leave the room and so the tower is guarded. inukimi visits years later with a young sesshomaru and tells him the story of kagome that is in the tower, he decides that he is the mate of her and runs to the door and opens it to the shock of everyone.
