The tender, rarely seen moment of lovers has definitely been expressed in this sketch. Good job for deciding to base it off that image and well-done to adapting it so well to fit Sesshoumaur and Kagome. The details of their hair, such as shading, what wisps of hair should fall are very well done! The eyes, I think is what draws me in especially.
Now. Suggestions. Follow them or not to your whim. There are a couple of issues with proportion. I'll skip ones that have already been mentioned by others. My own suggestion for next time (If you had time again to attempt this colossal of a task)is that you can give Kagome's hair more volume? This will bring out the contrast between Sesshoumaru and Kagome more. Also, the tree bark is so hard to draw...I would not even dare attempt it, so I applaud your courage! If you shade the bark an even darker colour than Kagome's hair, this will draw even more focus to the lovers. Doing this will emphasise Sesshoumaru and Kagome's luminescent glow of their skin.
The merging of their faces is a bit off, when someone tilts their head back enough that so much of their face is cut off their chin is significantly higher, as it stands it just looks like Kagome or Sesshoumaru had part of their faces hacked off with a machete. Kagome's arms look like twigs while her torso looks rather... how should I put this? "Chunky" as though she were a slightly overweight girl, as does her neck and face (I rather like that look but it doesn't fit with twig arms.)
Mostly anatomical problems, but that doesn't change the fact that this is a truly wonderful picture, I suck at drawing anatomy and see that I do it poorly instantly but can't fix it, with your skill I'm sure you'll be able to fix the anatomy issues.
There is a ton of emotion and even some movement in this piece that makes it incredible. The perspective with all the entwined limbs is excellent! The proportion with the Kagome's arms and head are a tad bit off, but other than that this is a wonderful piece. Love it!
This is very nice. The shading is really good. The only thing I notice is that the arms seem a bit to skinny and Kagome's head a bit too large, proportionally. I really like this, though, it has such a peaceful feeling.
